The MICE industry, like the tourism industry, was severely impacted by the spread of COVID-19. Although events were able to resume operations through hybrid events, the number of people visiting the host cities decreased significantly, making it impossible to expect economic benefits from direct consumption. Despite this situation, MICE cities abroad are becoming more assertive in their efforts to attract visitors using MICE. This session will consider the questions “What are the advantages of luring visitors to a city using MICE?” and “How should we promote the use of MICE to attract visitors?”
